Bring in recordings from anywhere

Drop audio files onto the uploader, connect a Google Drive folder, or use a sheet of links.

For recordings that are not in a connected phone system, there are three ways in.

  1. Upload them. Open Settings → Sources → Upload recordings, then drag files onto the box or pick them. Each file becomes a call and is transcribed straight away. A file you have already uploaded is recognised and skipped.
  2. Connect a Google Drive folder. Point us at the folder your phone system drops recordings into, and new files are picked up every half hour.
  3. Use a sheet of links. Make a sheet with one row per recording: a link to the file, plus whatever else you know, such as the date, the caller or the agent. Only the link is required. Connect that sheet as a source (see “Connect a Google Sheet”) and each row becomes a call.

The same routes work for recordings exported from a PBX, a softphone or a CRM.

FormatsThe uploader takes MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, Opus, AAC, FLAC, WebM, MP4, AMR and 3GP files. Everything is converted with ffmpeg before transcribing. Very quiet or heavily compressed audio still transcribes, but less well; the Precise transcription tier helps there.
